Why I Created This Program
After more than 25 years of teaching, performing, and leading bands, I became increasingly fascinated by one question: why do some musicians sound compelling even when they play very simple material?
Over time, I realized that rhythm was often the missing piece. Not just rhythm as counting, but rhythm as groove, phrasing, subdivision, syncopation, phrase design, odd meters, polyrhythms, metric modulation, and the countless ways time shapes musical expression.
The Rhythmic Creativity Intensive was created to help experienced guitarists explore these concepts in a practical, musical way and use them to become more creative, expressive, and distinctive musicians.
