steps:
open chord voicings only for these exercises
a) spell the intervals of the chord (ex: sus2 = 1 2 5)
b) work out the special relationship of each interval (ex: for a sus2, 1 to 2 is a whole step, 2 to 5 is 5 half steps)
c) name the notes of each interval on 1 string (ex: Dsus2 = d e a)
d) find a reasonable way to play the chord using its unaltered form (ex: D is xx0232; Dsus2 is xx0230)
3. do these chords and keys:
sus2 (D, A)
sus4 (D, E, F, G, A, C)
add9 (C, E, F, G)
6 (C, D, E, F, G, A)
9 (E, G)
m7 (Dm, Em, Am, Bm)
m9 (Em, Bm)
